The determination of retailers to deal with the challenges managing perishable products’ category continues as they persist provide quality service and fresh products their customers. These often afflict consumers alike, which innately impact management good consumer behavior. This article reports on a study that investigates influence consumers’ purchase behavior products. objectives this are determine behavior, explore current retail practices for products, investigate relationship between pricing shelf life how influences To achieve these objectives, in-depth semi-structured qualitative interviews were explorative by nature conducted, ten (10) staff members selected store in Durban, South Africa, who responsible category. findings reveal does products; however, problems identified concerning assortment planning, shelving, promotions, pricing, life. results limited Durban store. Recommendations made solve those effectively satisfy consumers.
